Northampton police were called Monday night to an apartment on the 1800 block of Main Street after someone reported an intruder.
While at the apartment responding to the emergency about 6:15 p.m.officers noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view, according to Chief Bryan Kadingo.
Officers obtained a search warrant for the apartment and returned. Kadingo said during the ensuing search they discovered two small explosive devices.
The Bethlehem Bomb Squad was called to the apartment, secured the devices and turned them over to authorities.
Police were on scene until about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Kadingo said.
No one was injured in the incident. As of Tuesday morning no charges had been filed, Kadingo said. However, the incident remains under investigation.
